I Grammy Awards 2019 che si terranno il 10 febbraio vedono tantissimi artisti nominati: a guidare la gara Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Brandi Carlile e Boi-1Da, seguiti da Cardi B, Childish Gambino e dall’estrosa Lady Gaga.

I Grammy Awards 2019 sono ormai alle porte: il 10 febbraio a Los Angeles si terrà la premiazione, intanto, però, scopriamo il nome dei cantanti nominati. Tantissimi gli artisti che si sfideranno per aggiudicarsi la vittoria, tra cui Cardi B, J Balvin, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar e molti altri.

A primeggiare parrebbe essere proprio il rapper statunitense Kendrick Lamar con ben 8 nomination (record dell’anno, canzone dell’anno, miglior performance rap, miglior rap/sung performance, miglior canzone rap, miglior canzone scritta per visual media), seguito a ruota da un altro rapper, Drake, con 7 nomination (record dell’anno, album dell’anno, canzone dell’anno, miglior performance rap con due brani differenti, miglior canzone rap per due testi differenti). Carlile sarebbe invece a quota 6 nomination; va però sottolineato che, mentre per alcuni cantanti ci si aspettava un tale numero di nomination, questo non accadeva per Brandi Carlile. La cantautrice, infatti, si è piazzata in ben tre categorie importantissime, quali miglior record, miglior canzone e miglior album dell’anno e si è aggiudicata nomination sia nella categoria roots che in quella americana.

A quota cinque nomination troviamo, invece, Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Maren Morris e Lady Gaga, quest’ultima in gara per il record dell’anno, canzone dell’anno, miglior solo performance pop, miglior performance pop duo/band e miglior canzone scritta per visual media. Anche la cantante H.E.R. (il cui nome per esteso sarebbe Gabriella Wilson), nota nel genere R&B contemporaneo, ha ricevuto numerose nomination come album dell’anno, miglior artista emergente, miglior performance R&B, miglior canzone R&B e miglior album R&B.

A seguito di diverse critiche ricevute dalla Record Accademy l’anno scorso, quest’anno le categorie sono, di fatto, molto più varie: ogni categoria ha mediamente cantanti di differente etnia, sesso ed età. Basterebbe dare uno sguardo ai principali ambiti per notare subito come spesso i cantanti nominati siano di sesso femminile e siano, in percentuale, in numero maggiore rispetto agli anni scorsi.
